DVRF has chosen writer, reporter, and activist Masha Gessen for the 2018 Hitchens Prize.
Ms. Gessen will receive the Prize at the award ceremony on December 3rd in New York City. Look forward to posted video and remarks from the event shortly thereafter.

We’re pleased to announce that “Dirty Dirty” by Amy Gijsbers van Wijk has been chosen for development in the 2018/19 cycle of the Playwrights Program.
As in previous years, DVRF recognized six finalist pieces from the submission pool. The authors will be invited participate in the Round Table Series in early 2019.
We want to thank everyone who submitted their work for this cycle. Look out for more updates about “Dirty Dirty” in the coming months.
We are now accepting submissions for our 2018/19 Playwrights Program.
As in previous years, this is an opportunity for a full length play to receive 2 week development in New York City, culminating in a reading for industry professionals. The rehearsal and reading will take place in March/April 2019.
Finalists will also be invited to participate in our Round Table programming in early 2019.
There is no fee to submit. We hope you will send us your work!
